| | | | Both the government and the AKP administration were looking at whether to submit a new bill to the parliament, Foreign Minister Yaşar Yakış said, though giving no indication what outcome these deliberations might bring.
The Foreign Minister also said that it was possible talks with the US over an aid package to compensate Turkey for any losses arising out of its support for Washington in the event of war with Iraq could resume.
“There were some answers that we were waiting for and they had not arrived,” he said. “We will look into it again when they resume.”
