| | | | Turkey had in principle agreed to a series of requests made by Washington over Iraq, including the deploying of peacekeeping forces, Foreign Minister Abdullah Gül said.
However, the conditions attached to the requests and final approval had yet to be fully discussed, he added.
“We say ‘yes’ to all of these in principle, but under what conditions such demands would be met would become clear in the coming days,” Gül said.
Gül said that Turkey was committed to assisting in the political and physical rebuilding of Iraq.
