Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said that Turkey was a state of law and that no one either within the country or abroad should doubt that Even if this file is re-opened legally, it is completed in the minds of the people, he said. Erdoğan stressed that the final decision lay in the justice system of Turkey. If the world wants to re-look at a file of a terrorist, we shall respond to by saying justice is independent in Turkey, he said. The ECHR ruling said that Öcalan, the imprisoned leader of the terrorist group the PKK did not get a fair hearing in his trial six years ago and was denied full justice. |
